Hi!
I’m Steph Lasch, LMT. I’m a massage therapist in Lino Lakes, MN. My office is located in StoneWater Institute & Spa. I’m an industry writer (I write the finance and business books for massage therapy schools), blogger and mentor to several massage therapists around the globe. I welcome you to my massage table with the hope that you’ll really enjoy your massage session and continue to come see me for a long-standing professional relationship!
NCBTMB Certified
I’m a nationally certified massage therapist, #599074-10 issued by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. What does that mean, exactly?
In the State of Minnesota, massage therapists are not licensed at the state level. We operate in an unregulated state, unfortunately. However, I have chosen to operate my practice based on the code of ethics issued by the NCBTMB and obtain municipal licensing where necessary to:
- Represent the highest standard in the field
- Communicates a commitment to safe, ethical practice
- Gain visibility and credibility
- Reassure clients and employers
- Establish practitioners as healthcare providers on par with other professionals requiring certification
More About Me
Welcome to my “About” page where I let you in on a piece of my life. I’m an accountant/economist, massage therapist and massage industry writer. Balancing all three skills has led me to where I am today: a small business owner.
I own StoneWater Massage & Skin Care and StoneWater Institute & Spa in beautiful Lino Lakes, Minnesota. Lino Lakes is a small community/suburb of St. Paul, just minutes north of I-694. My office oversees the Rice Lake, which is protected by the DNR, so its natural beauty is not disturbed. It’s here where I’ve found solace in my work and career.
I love writing and sharing thoughts, ideas and conversation. I’m not an expert at writing, but I do credit a lot of my thought process and analysis to Mrs. Conner of my junior year in American Studies. Her strict critique of my writing led me down the path of more contemplative self-reflection and application in real life.
A South Dakota native, I moved to the Twin Cities looking for adventure and “something more”. I think I found what I was looking for, but it has taken a lot of effort and hard work to get here. I work, on average, 80 hours between massage therapy running both StoneWater Massage & Skin Care and StoneWater Institute & Spa. In my downtime, I’m usually at a sushi or wine bar, spending time with my bullmastiff Max and chocolate lab Chaska, or hanging out with my very cool husband and adorable baby Caelan.
I love life. I love my readers and the thoughts that they bring to the table. I hope you’ll join in on the fun! Enjoy reading. Feel free to comment. All I ask is for three things 1) respect 2) gratitude and 3) helpfulness in your comments.
